As part of our series on “aging with dignity,” we offer this informative presentation on Hospice from Barbara Barnett, the Executive Director of Volunteer Services for Down East Hospice Volunteers (DEHV). She will provide us with an interesting background on the history of hospice care and how and when it came to the U.S.A. She will share personal stories of her experiences during her 30+ years providing volunteer hospice care. Stories that will tug at your heart and others that will make you chuckle.
