PVSC Voice - August 2026

You’ll find information about the some of the Summer Extravaganza Variety and Field Trips that were held to date. Look below for the full listing of the 16 course titles and instructors offered during the Fall Term. Most courses begin the week of September 28, with a few starting the week before.

Each course is $35/per person. Although PVSC members receive first priority when registering, we warmly welcome members of other Maine Senior College Network colleges — especially Belfast Senior College and Acadia Senior College, since they are the closest to UMA-Bangor Campus where most of our courses are held. Many of those courses are recorded, and recordings remain available for two weeks after each session, so we do have some other college members who register just to get recordings of an course that interests them.

Any course offered by Berney Kubetz, a semi-retired lawyer, always has 40-75 participants. His Fall 2026 6-week course is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 25th "The Great American Experiment at 250: Going, Going Strong, or Going, Going Gone?" Held at UMA-Bangor Campus, the classroom has room for 75 people to attend, and sessions will be recorded.
