Andrea Ostrofsky is offering "An OUTSIDE Look at Lichens."
Instructor: Andrea Ostrofsky
Wednesday • 6/14 (rain date 6/16) • 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
Class size 6-16 students
Location: Field Trips
Class meets outside of Randall Hall. This class will begin with a 5-10 minute introduction to what lichens are and their role in the environment. This will be followed by an easy walk on the paved walkway around the UMA campus green where we will look for (and find!) all three types of lichens on rocks, trees, and elsewhere — including some favorites! Having attended the 2022 Fall lecture “A First Look at Lichens” is helpful, but not necessary.
